Planning on moving to Spain early next year. Planning ahead we have to get our animals over, flying would not work so any ideas. We have to transport our furniture etc in a large van but what about dogs? We won't have a car so do we hire a van and car here, but then how do we get them both back to UK? Got a quote for pet transportation it was £2500! Any suggestions welcomed . Jill

After Dec 31st. the rules for the transportation of pets change radically so I wouldn't be surprised if €2500 was correct.

Better pray for a deal!

Hi JillyJosh,

We have been through the same thought process for the final move in a couple of months' time so there may be a few links we found that may help you. Our 2x cats are coming with us by car so slightly different, but similar concerns re flying them out as an airline pilot on this forum didn't recommend it.

Not sure who this was from but they said...'I have used and can recommend Howells, a family firm based near Torreviega.

May be a start.

There was another ad for a rather deluxe looking van and company who may be able to do both (you and the furry ones). Will see if I can find it. May have been 'Brits in Spain' on FB.
