Hi

I have a single Wise card, with two accounts - one denominated in euros, and the other in GBP. I make sure that there is always money held in the euro account. Then if I need to use an ATM I go to a "Cashzone" machine which all give free withdrawals. However, if I withdraw more than £200 per month then Wise themselves will charge 50p per withdrawal, plus 1.75% of the amount over 200.

It's my belief that Cashzone machines are free so long as your account is denominated in euros. I use the one outside Murphy's in La Zenia.

Also look at https://www.monito.com/en/wiki/atms-in-spain

I have no experience of Chase - is that a euro account? If not, I suggest you register with Wise, or similar (Revolut/n26).

Cheers

Steve

Hi. Opposite the la Fuente commercial centre there is a Sol Bank that is closed down. The cash machine charges 1.80 euros for our Chase card, otherwise find a Deutche Bank which you can withdraw free from

I have a Revolut euro account. The only cash machine I have found that is totally free so far is Deutche bank at La Zenia Boulevard.

Do not use ANY EURONET atm's, as they charge huge conversion and huge usage fees, approx 15% in most cases. Research well.

I use Banco Sabadell and have not paid for cash withdrawals for years.

Hi

I have a starling and wise account both with Euro accounts attached, I use the Duetsche bank at La Zenia which is in the square next to the toilets or the one at La Mata on the roundabout the building looks like a ship as we go down to La Mata beach quite often.

I you have Wise only draw 200 euros per month or your going to get charged, Starling is the better option to withdraw cash free of any charges to your daily limit, I use Revolut to exchange sterling as its always a better rate then transfer into Wise & Starling.

Hope this helps

BBVA @ Villamartin Plaza - EUR 2,70 flat fee

CashZone @ Villamartin Plaza - EUR 3,95 flat fee

Tried this week with Revolut card, it would be the same with Wise since the charge is on the side of the ATM, not the card issuer.

Hi Lukas

What card were you using, and was your money already held in euros in your account?

Cheers

Steve

Yes, of course, I already had EUR in my account.

As I mentioned, it was a Revolut card (Mastercard World Elite).
