Thanks Nicola, we have not received our first bills yet but just wanted to know where to go to set up the direct debits or pay across counter.
Do you have any idea when the bills arrive in this area?

Our last IBI bill was taken from our bank by SUMA on 11th September.
It's certainly easier to go to SUMA beforehand and set up a direct debit.
When you get the bill, it has a reference number on it which you can use to get into the SUMA website and set up a direct debit, but, unless SUMA have changed their system, that bill has to be paid at one of the collaborating banks.
Your initial posts also mentions basura. I don't know about your area, but where I am basura is included in the water bills from Hidraqua.

Thanks Jim, we have not yet received a bill for Suma, so wont have ref number , do you think they can still set dd up from property info?
The basura is included in water bill, but solicitor says we will get additional charges also? Have no idea what for though.

As long as you can prove to SUMA that it's your property, I'm sure you could. I did that years ago for one of the charges that are levied on us for maintaining the irrigation canals in our area. This being Spain, I'd go prepared! Escritura, bank statement, residencia and padron if you've got them, passport to prove your ID, etc. Make sure the bank statement has your full account number on it.
