This is quite correct although I note Andrew's message in which he states he has indeed both services from Olé which has confused me somewhat. * (My source was the manager at Olé, near.. er.. Olé roundabout as it is popularly known!)
The detail of the matter as I understood it was that Olé management approached the urbanisation - I believe on more than one occasion - and community service was offered but decidedly blocked or refused by the President. There was no consultation with the 36 or so residents so far as I am aware but am happy to be corrected.
I currently have both WiFi and 'London England' services with Avatel, formerly Teleast. They have a unit opposite Alcampo supermarket at La Zenia Boulevard.
I was moved from dish to fibre optic a couple of years back.
For the most part, the service is without issue. However, if you do make enquiries of them, be sure - in writing - that they offer 'English (London) channels' which they may refer to as 'London.' This used to be the default position; the 'standard' nationally broadcast channels, as such. Of course, if that is not what you want, I simply suggest you make no presumption as to what you will actually get.
I mention this because I believe they may have advised me that new subscribers will instead get, for example, BBC Northern Ireland or BBC Wales instead of the more usual and expected 'London' version. I was suddenly stuck with this anomaly without warning and for some months. It was quite a battle getting them to revert to previous type and it took a contract change.
Their customer services line had repeatedly suggested I 'reset' my box. It took a while before they conceded it was never a technical issue and they knew this; it was an unannounced channels contract change. In other words, they palmed me off via a disingenuous script. To cut to the chase, they fed a lie, presumably having realised they had made a contract judgement cock up. Charming!
I suspect - and not for the first time: have been with them for 7 years and it has been chequered-flag at times - that Avatel's limp-wristed & clueless contracts negotiator may still not appreciate that, for example, regional channels will inevitably be inappropriate for most UK customers. It does have an impact. BBC Northern Ireland does not, by single example, broadcast Question Time. It also unsurprisingly prattles on about local news issues and I soon enough lost interest in sheep going missing from a remote farm in Kilkeel and etc. (Although, if you do spot one, looking distraught, endlessly muttering 'BEJESUS. . BAAAHHH!' and with a large red painted dot on its back, do let me know. I do, of course, still have the Hotline number to the Sheep Police over there. Just call me a good citizen. Despite the electronic ankle tag.)
I last had good service from a charming and efficient young lady - from their portacabin unit, also at the boulevard - and I will check my emails and hope to add her name to this posting for your info. **
I stop short of recommending them because quality of service over 7 years - even including a basic integrity - depends largely on the individual you stumble upon. The shrewd switch from dish to cable, for example, was solely a sell-up to their advantage and made no appreciable difference to service. It did, however, lose me my right to suspend service for at least 12 months and so the opportunistic Branch Manager screwed me rather eloquently for a further €360 for the following 12 months when it would have been only €60 under the dish contract.
No, of course they didn't warn me that there would be a precluding contract clause change. Nice work if you can get it.
More fool me, I know. I bother to write all this for fear that someone out there in the ether might potentially be as stupid as me.
But, having said all that, I would also say it is certainly worth making your own cautious enquiries. My current service is reliable and the contract finally allows suspension (specifically, €4.99 per month from the usual €30) while I am back in UK

* UPDATE
Looks like I may be correct. The bottom part of Calle Otelo - the gated section on the corner - is managed by a different President to the main drag of the street ie the straight bit! This accounts for why Olé is only partly available.
** The lady needs to remain nameless for now, sorry, but she had distinctive, brightly and alternately coloured nails, in her 20's.
My latest contract paperwork, which she administered for me, is in Spain and I shall be able to look at that on my next visit. If anyone would like this competent and obliging employee's name, private message me and I will get back to you as soon as I have the info myself.
