Hello all,

I have recently bought a holiday home in Villamartin nr La Fuente commercial centre. Most of the posts I have seen for internet quote 600 meg fibre for 25 to 30 Eu per month with options to switch on or off. What are my other options. My neighbours on my last visit, told me they had internet via a small dish for 15 EU (From Telecable, I think). Does anyone know if this is any good and still available ?

I have also considered a sim 4G router and just buy a local sim card on arrival. I don't need high speed / lots of bandwidth and will most likely on visit for a couple of weeks at a time, 4 times a year. Does anyone else do this ? How much is a sim card with 30 to 50 Gb of data included ?

One option, have a look at dvblab.

I use this in my holiday home, €19 pm, turn on/off as required, easy to do.

Initial installation app €150

I'd stay away from internet via a dish particularly if you plan to stream tv on it. We have a holiday home in Villamartin and had Flexa install a fibre line last year, (install was €100), and we then notify them via their website when we are coming out and the internet is switched on for us. Goes off when we leave. Was here last for just under 6 weeks and cost around €40. Speeds were around 250mbs and very stable. From memory a 2 week stay is about €20.

Tony

I stream anything I need via Dvlab dish, I watch live footbal regularly and stream from Netflix and YouTube often.

Only 10mbs download but its enough and it's stable.

I pay €19 per month, €40pm is alot for not needed mbs.

It's cheaper per month if left on fully but as it's a holiday home it suits us to only pay whilst we are there
