Obtaining a Spanish phone number

Hi,
I’ve just taken out a gas boiler service contract with IBERDROLA. I have a slight problem with my hot water and am wanting to arrange a service and inspection however they are insisting on a Spanish contact phone number for the engineer.
I don’t live permanently in my property, just visit every 6 weeks or so. You’d think it may be straight forward to book an engineer for when I’m there but no, not at all!
I guess I could call into the IBERDROLA shop near the boulevard but I don’t want to leave it to chance if they can’t sort a visit out within a weeks notice. So....anyone know how I can sort out a Spanish number for my mobile? I’m guessing I could pop into a phone shop and buy a pay as you go SIM when I’m over there? Is it as simple as that? IE..just pop the SIM card into my mobile and I’ve instantly got a Spanish number?
