Can you recommend best care hire. How much roughly for a week. Iv looked it up but once you add insurance the price shoots up to over £100

Holiday autos. I would say budget about £100 per week. Buy your insurance separately Look at holiday autos website.
Taxi return from Alicante will cost more.

Is there any word about transfers between the new airport and Villamartin or the surrounding area(eg.San Miguel de Salinas)?

Nothing. Same price as a cab to Alicante. Some have said you get a cab to San Pedro, then a bus. Seems a bit of a Ballachulish how.

Yes, Beniconct €20.00 find them on line. Or if you are a bit more adventurous there is a bus to Torrevieja €7.00, bus from Torry to La Zenia/playa flamenca €1.35. Walk or taxi to Villamartin €5.00

As has been mentioned in post earlier there is a direct shuttle bus from Alicante Airport To Villamartin but must be booked online before you want to travel so they can confirm the availability.
The cost is €20 per person each way.
