This is to get access to the WiFi service at your local pub or restaurant without actually being there, is it?

you need direct view between your antenna and the router you want to connect. The antenna of the other router needs to be on the street or you will not connect.

Ok, can you tell me if it works with a Smart Phone, or does it need to be connected via USB to a laptop etc?
And, most importantly, would it allow my aunt (who is buying) to access Netflix via her phone to Smart TV?
Sorry..... luddites with tech

Do bear in mind that what you are doing is using someone else's internet connection without their knowledge or permission and without contributing to the cost. In my view that's immoral, even if it's not illegal.

Dear Gordon, I seriously wish we had someone with good technical knowledge who could assist us, rather than chastise us. Especially as we have limited language and ability. Thank you so much for your input. We are NOT trying to be deceitful or otherwise. If we were, I'm pretty sure we would be hiding behind a personal message.
I think perhaps my use of the word Luddite might have indicated that....
