I have been very frustrated with the lack of information re cases of infection in my area . I've just found out that Paddy's Point has been closed because of infected staff. I think if members are aware of infections in their area it would very helpful to let other  members be aware . So we can keep up our guard and not become complacent with the dangers.

Paddys Point did put a posting up to say how sorry they were for having to close whilst the staff isolated. Other businesses have also done the same. I don't think any one is being complacent.

Obviously some people are very complacent as the infections are now three times that of April. Wake up!! It would make sense to me to be aware of the areas of  infection so as to avoid them. I only heard by way of mouth about Paddy's Point. I have a serious health condition and would like to have all available information.

Are you on Facebook groups for your area? Local watsapp groups? Expecting Forum members to post daily or weekly updates on the Forum for your specific location is unrealistic.

In fact it's probably better that they don't because the situation changes rapidly and second hand news is often what someone heard from a friend who heard it in a taxi from another friend who heard it from a hairdresser.

There are websites which you can check though if you're keen to find them. People living here are far from complacent when compared to many other countries.

Paddys Point posted this as soon as they found out on 4th November . The owners have been very responsible since this happened but they cannot be blamed if people walk around with theirs heads in the sand !

Well since I posted my query sadly one friend has died another is in intensive care.  3 more local bars have closed for fumigation due to infections and a large supermarket has had an infection. I was scared before but now I'm terrified. All this in 2 weeks. Take extra care out there.

I’m sure Paddy’s point was back open as I passed it on the 20th Nov, and I agree we should be made more aware and I sympathise but if you have a serious health complaint shouldn’t you be isolating and not visiting places unless it’s necessary and I don’t say this to be mean.

Where or when did I say that I was in any of these establishments? There are other means of finding out this  information. I have bee through this since  January  and thanks to my wonderful neighbours who have been extraordinary helpful  have survived.  But of late I'm hearing of more and more  cases, just in this month alone. My only thought was that if people could  make the people  in their  area more aware perhaps  maybe one person less may escape or survive this virus.
