Hi thank you for reply is the tma known by another name as cannot find in uk tx Ray
Hello
This is the only name that comes up when I search :-
The Government of Spain allows from this Thursday entry into the country with a negative TMA, a Transcription-Mediated Amplification similar to a PCR. The new coronavirus test is cheaper and has a faster process, around two hours

Hi Raydar
From The Olive Press online today...
‘In the official state bulletin from December 10, 2020, the Ministry of Health stated that, in addition to the PCR test, the TMA (Transcription-Mediated Amplification) test and ‘other molecular detection techniques’ are now valid for travellers to Spain’.
The article goes onto say that the RT-LAMP test is an acceptable alternative to the TMA test.

Hi Raydar
The GOV.UK site on the travel to Spain page also says that the RT-Lamp test is suitable and I checked on Manchester airport site (our local airport) and they advise it is available for £79 with results in 90 minutes
Check your airport website to see if it’s available where you fly from
Good luck

All I can say is good luck in finding TMA test at moment. Maybe as time goes on they'll be easier to find. We did a PCR test with Randox. Ordered test, could track it but took just over 24 hours to get to us, did test, took it back personally to local courier centre at 10a.m. Tuesday morning (although you can arrange for courier to pick it up) Randox signed for it 9.45 Wednesday morning, emailed result 18.15 Wednesday evening. Excellent service - cost £84 per test. Don't know if this helps.

A LAMP test, which is equivalent to a TMA test as far as acceptability in Spain, is widely available in the UK at many airports.
