The 270 day rule applies to your first 2 jabs. Not the booster.

Where did you get it from?
Show me please the article/paragraph in EU or Spanish regulations.

Your right that it is not clear what will happen if there is no 4th dose and the 270 day limit is reached on the booster dose. I would expect that the next steps will be clearer in a couple of months, I don't think anyone wants to stop people travelling around.

The advice to get a booster jab is so as to keep the immune system to the optimum to help fight off covid, that is regardless of whether you travel abroad or not....

...

I think that the EU 270 day rule was probably put in place to help encourage people to get a booster, but that's just my view.

Aitch.

Nobody wants to stop people travelling but we saw it few months ago that they'd stopped people travelling...

It does say that the expiry rule applies to the primary dose ie NOT the booster. It’s my understanding that the Gov.U.K. Website reflects foreign office guidance, so should be giving out accurate information 🤞🙂

Still can't see where it says that booster never expires...
Can you quote exactly, please?

That is what it says about the booster: ""There is no requirement for 14 days to have passed between receiving your booster jab and entering Spain. Booster jabs can be administered at any time prior to travel to Spain."

I understand it can be less or more than 14 days before coming to Spain. But really - more than 270 days?

Show me please the article/paragraph in EU or Spanish regulations.

On January 25, the EU secured a binding acceptance from member states that they would recognise vaccination certificates as valid for at least 270-days from first doses before requiring proof of a booster.

Read this on inews.co.uk

I have not seen anywhere it states a booster has an expiry.

Maybe others have 🙄

And when it comes to what gov.uk is worth:

For example on austria.info you will find something like this: "The booster vaccination is valid for 270 days" - and gov.uk doesn't say anything about it...

From the link I posted earlier, this is on the EU Website

Member States must accept vaccination certificates for a period of 270 days (9 months) since the completion of the primary vaccination series. For a single-dose vaccine, this means 270 days from the first and only shot. For a two-dose vaccine, it means 270 days from the second shot or, in line with the national vaccination strategy, the first and only shot after having recovered from the virus. Member States should not provide for a different acceptance period for the purposes of travel within the European Union. The standard acceptance period does not apply to certificates for booster doses.

But this is just a homepage...

And where does it says hat booster has NO expiry?
Actually do you know many vaccinations that last forever?

When it comes to so called "covid booster jab", scientific sources indicate it works also for 6 months (aditional three are so called "grace period").
I mean... scientific sources one can find. As most of them answers different question - "How long does the booster take to be effective?"
The question "how long is it effective" (or "for how long it provides protection") is for some reasons avoided...

I think the point here that others have made too, is that if your primary jab/ jabs were over 270 days ago, you need to have a booster to enter Spain (refs as before) Probably best not to overthink it beyond that. No one really knows what the requirements may be in the future

I don’t really understand what your problem is here - do you seriously not trust what governments are saying?
