Is this message today’s date as it says March 22nd how come it’s only coming through today 6th april

The original post was 22nd march but the news was today 6/4. Other posters saying EU had no grounds, it was political and no link. However noe the UK are investigating.

I dont disagree. Just pointing out that it was originally stated that the EU were scapegoating the AZ vaccine and there were no grounds for the safety tests. Unfortunately there must be evidence to the contrary, hence the investigations now being carried out by the UK. Very difficult for the EU to let the UK have their quota, because AZ have so far not delivered anywhere near the amount ordered by the EU countries, so it appears that is already the case.

Key comment in the above article is the fact that 18.1 million doses have been given in the UK versus 30 cases of blood clots, none of which have been directly blamed on the vaccine. Meanwhile UK deaths still falling week on week and lockdown restrictions being eased as planned.

Try being positive about the vaccine rather than so negative.

On April 12th the government will be telling us when we can travel abroad from the UK. It is hoped that international travel for all will resume on May 17th, but it  could be later and depends on the coronavirus stats. Where we can fly to will be dependent upon which countries will allow UK ...

Let's hope the situation here in the UK continues to improve as it has done in the past few weeks so that we can safely get out of these covid restrictions.

You need to check the rules of your destination. Just because the Uk may let you travel it doesn’t mean your country of destination will allow you in.

A UK strain - it was discovered in the UK thanks to the genome sequencing capability that exists in the UK (something else that they got right). The strain could have come from anywhere, a bit like the flu epidemic in the last decade originated in the US but was called Spanish Flu.
