Afternoon

I have flights booked for October and want to know what it is like over there at moment.  I can self isolate/quarantine on return to uk but if things are all but completely locked down over there I will stay put until the New Year.  All opinions welcomed.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Marango,

In this area, we're not in lockdown, although restrictions are strictly applied - my Spanish teacher told me this week that two friends in Bigastro were each fined €600 for walking in the street without masks.

You can check the status of Covid-19 cases in individual towns on this website:

Kind regards

Kim

It was reported today that the Valencia region has the lowest cases in Spain. I've been here three weeks and it's quiet and there is good observance of rules. All the shops have antibacterial gel and many supervise it. I'll be here another three weeks and have no reason that I am aware to be concerned.

Hi Marango,

We arrived just over a week ago. Very quiet flight; 50 passengers on a flight with 180 seats. Masks had to be worn at the airport both ends - Bristol to Corvera - and throughout the flight.

We've been out and about a bit since arriving. As others have said it pretty quiet but many bars and restaurants are open, at least some of the time. Masks are a must whenever in a public place & the vast majority appear to comply.

The weather has been unseasonably hot, 30c+ most days, but it's due to return to the normal 26/27c next week.

All in we're really glad we came, feel very safe, and are looking forward to our remaining 3wks. As long as they don't cancel our flight again! 😂
