Don’t know where or when I asked this before but now know, solicitor, police.
1, can a person with a Spanish driving license drive a uk registered vehicle, yes.
2, can a person with a uk driving license drive a Spanish registered vehicle, yes.
3 can s person put a vehicle in storage near airport and fly down and drive it from time to time, l know not more than 90 days.

You can drive a brit vehicle with a Spanish licence as long as it does not belong to you [ and not reg in your name ] .

Doesn't the UK owner of vehicle have to be in the vehicle at the time? Also doesn't it have to be out of Spain after 6months.?

Thank you, I asked the insurance company about the uk owner being in the van no but you have to have his written permission.
Out of Spain after 6 months it will be in storage that no difference than all the hundreds cars parked at airports where the owners fly in pick up car drive to holiday home for a month than back to storage at the airport then fly home.

You haven't mentioned taking it back to UK for Mot though? If its in storage then I suppose it could stay but it has to return for Mot at least yearly. As we travel by ferry our vehicle is tracked as to how long in Spain with ferry details, don't know how a vehicle is tracked when leaving in Spain. We bought a Spanish car and keep in own garage when in Uk as we travel with a van not car. The UK owner used to have to be in the vehicle at time so that must have changed. My neighbour(resident) has been so lucky to keep a UK car in Spain over 15yrs driving on UK licence and pretends he's a visitor. Don't know if Brexit will change his ways, but wouldn't want to be him. He does take it to UK yearly for its Mot.
