Most of them won't deal on new but by going to Elche say inland a bit you may get a better deal second hand hold value so may be better if affordable to go for new with the warranty cheap ones with good reports are the Dacia's.

Spain isn't like the UK where your car loses a quarter of its value when you buy it and just drive it home!

Prices here depreciate very slowly, and in my opinion it's best to buy new or very nearly new in order to get the benefit of the manufacturer's warranty.

If a new car comes with free finance, it's unlikely a dealer will give a discount for cash, so you might as well take the finance and have the money in your account rather than in the dealer's.

Buying in another EU country might be cheaper, but you've then got the hassle of getting it inspected and put on Spanish plates, plus you won't have any rapport with a local dealer when it comes to servicing or repairs.
