Am I the only one (and I'm sure I'm not) disgusted in the way UK citizens treat the laws in their host country regarding vehicle usage? All foreign registered vehicles using public roads in Spain have to adhere to the laws of the country of registration. For uk registered vehicles this is a Valid MOT and payment of uk road tax. SORN can not be used so as not to pay road tax. The use of the GOV.UK website allows anybody to check the status of any uk number plates. People should try it, however I'm sure many people (most) will not be surprised by their findings! These cars ar not legal and as such , if you are unfortunate to have an accident involving one, whether your fault or not I expect their insurance company will not pay out. Drive safe!

Don't tar all UK registered cars with the same brush, we drive over regularly and are fully legal.

That wasn't the point of my post presently I drive a uk registered car, awaiting the delivery of headlights before registration change process. The point being made is that those who don't adhere will not be insured. They may think they are because the insurance companies are happy to take their money. Just be aware. Hardly worth mentioning dodgy MOT's for cars that haven't left these shores for a good number of years!
