Probably checking for people from outside of Valencia leaving the motorway - as we are approaching Easter.

I have seen checks at other motorway exits, and on non-motorway (back roads) that can be used to get to the coast.

The semi-autonomous regions have closed borders for Easter, but there will no doubt be Covid-crashers on the move already.

We had police checks today on the Los Palacios roundabout, on the CV-91.  As you can join this road from the AP-7 to drive to the coast at Guardamar del Segura, I also wondered whether it was to spot-check people travelling from outside of the C.Valenciana region for the Easter break.  Our Town Hall has reminded us of the importance of traveling in possession of our residencia/TIE, or passport if non-resident, in case we are stopped by the police.

Stay safe,

Kim
