How do I get a permanent SIP card ?

Hi,

I got my residencia last summer, and have been living in El Galan permanently since March-I am 70 this year so obviously I am a pensioner.

How and where do I submit my S1 to INSS please? Also, do I have to make an appointment ?

Thanks for your help Nicola-my solicitor took me to Elche to get my residencia and I took all my paperwork with me, so I didn't realise that I'd been registered for my SIP card then ! 

The health centre issued me with my paper SIP, so I didn't realise that they would issue my plastic one -I will go there next week to see if I can get it.

Hi there

To get a permanent SIP card you must have residential status very easy to do If you have an S1 form from the DWP if not proof of health insurance. Once you have residential status can go to the social security office and gain full SIP card and cancell health insurance also proof that you have 750E per month per person coming into your account.  Not required if you have S1.

The temporary Sip card can be renewed every six months.  Been out here just over two years once mine expires I take it in and get it renewed at the local Medical Center.  I hope this is of some help.
