Hello all, I am a widowed 72 year old male, moving to Spain tomorrow on my own. I don’t know anyone, So I’m looking to make new friends and join new clubs for this next chapter in my life. Ready to start the New Year. If anyone would like to meet up for a drink who knows area and has information on clubs etc.

I suggest you contact the Phoenix Singles Club. They meet every Monday at 11.00 at The Marina Club, International marina Puerto Deportivo, 03180 Torrevieja. follow the link below for directions

Do you drive? The Phoenix Club is really good I found it hard to find as I thought I was going into a private marina area but that is where the place is.
I need to go again and join as they are a lovely bunch bunch of people.

I am not living there but have a house in villamartin. I would love to meet up when I come over. I have made a few friends in the last few months when I have been there. I have not been to the Phoenix club yet but that is on my list of things to do. Perhaps you will be able to let me know what it is like. I have found people in Spain are really friendly and helpful so I don't think you will be lonely.
I was thinking of joining the 'u3a' in the new year, they do a lot of things but mostly near the other side of Torrevieja.

Hi John I bought a place here on my own in 2004. I found the free expat papers full of information.

Congratulations on your move to sunny Spain
I have a house in Villamartin which i purchased in April last year
I am moving out permanently in 2019 but i will be there this April and again in June
Would be happy to meet up for a drink and a chat
