I have seen on the airport website on the 29th January that covid testing will be starting shortly .Has anyone heard or seen any more information.I am hoping to go back to the UK mid March but don't drive and live alone so this would help me greatly to know I could get a test at the airport

Unless these tests give an instant result, I don’t know how the process could actually work? People will turn up in advance of flight taking off, take the test - then how long till the result comes through? Too long, the flight will be missed....?

I've seen in another thread that the pharmacy at Punta Prima are doing them and the private medical centre by the pharmacy at Cabo Riog are doing them, like yourself I'm hoping to get to the uk next month sometime.
Someone did suggest a lateral flow test which is cheaper is ok for the return to the uk but pcr is required for the return to Spain.

Please be aware that if you are coming back to Scotland in March, you will have to self isolate in a hotel at your own cost for 10 days at around £1700 a pop. You will also have to have two more tests during that time, more money. I think the English are only doing this for people coming from what they call the red areas of the world.

Thanks for the information but I am flying on the 14th to Standstead fortunately as it turns out I couldn't get a flight to Scotland .I will quarantine with a friend in England.Also for those that may be interested ,the Pharmacy in La Fuente does Antigen test for 50euro by appointment.
