Hi all could you all tell me which to book first the flight or rental accommodation as if I book the accommodation first and there are no flights or vice versa...thanks all

Contact the owner of the accommodation and give them approximate dates, within a few days and ask them to hold them for you until you secure the flights and then go back with the exact dates.

I don't disagree with the advice already given but there are thousands upon thousands of empty apartments with owners sitting on lost bookings so you will not have any problems getting accommodation. I would book your flights first then look for an apartment booking that has flexible cancellation policies.

Most online booking portals like Booking.com and Homeaway are encouraging property owners to be extremely flexible with bookers.

I think by September thing "might" have settled down a bit. Hope this helps.

Hi Ramalamadingdong.

I’m afraid your comment regarding travel insurance is not accurate. My very well known insurer has confirmed cover, to include COVID-19. I’ve not checked beyond that, but would guess that for it to be valid, it would need FCO to move beyond “all but essential” advice 🤪🥂
