I think this depends on what you want from it. As Pete says, it is a big urb surrounded by other urbs so you could be close to shops or miles from them.  I live in the country where nothing much changes between winter and summer but in urbanizations many are holiday homes so the atmosphere can change considerably between seasons.

You have to do your homework. The problems of living on an urbanization that I have picked up on the forum mainly involve noise. Dogs may be left for hours or days on end and bark 24/7. Noise from bars crops up a few times, as do inconsiderate neighbours who, after all, are on their holidays and due to the construction of many properties noise travels easily between adjoining walls. Social life in Spain ramps up from 10-11 pm until the early hours and much of it is outside. In any area (not just Spain) where a lot of properties are holiday homes, security has to be a consideration. Don't get me wrong, crime is much lower here than in the UK but tourists bring money, mobiles, technology, jewellery, documents.........

A lot will also depend on whether it will be a permanent or holiday home. If you are only going to be visiting for holidays, you are more likely to be part of the nightlife anyway.

There are always hundreds of all types of property for sale here with some taking ages to sell and mistakes will be expensive due to the taxes and costs involved in buying and selling so take your time. Try finding a holiday let in the area you are interested in so you can experience living there or maybe a longer term let before putting any deposit down. Thousands of us have wonderful lives here as residents or holiday home owners at the coast, inland, country, town or city and some have landed on their feet and purchased within days with no regrets and some have researched for years but in the past it was relatively easy to rent out your property to cover costs or make a profit if things didn't work out but now the new Tourist Licence laws are being enforced that will not always be an option.

The most important thing is to get your own independent Abogado rather than the one recommended by the estate agent. If you google it there are plenty of articles explaining why.

Best of luck to you, this is a beautiful part of Spain to live or have a second home.
