Richard, I would take heed from what Oeter is saying - the tourist licence for your property will need to bi your (or the owners) name - not the managing/letting agent. They can apply for it on your behalf, but you will need to submit, via the managing agent, copies of 3 utility bills, property deeds, habitation certs and other personal info. I know this myself, as a management company are currently doing this for me, as I am looking to rent my property out next year.
They will be doing the admin and visiting the required offices in Alicante to submit the requiredpaperwork. There is obviously a cost to do this, which should be agreed between yourself and the agent in advance. However, you are more than welcome to apply for the licence on your own, good luck with that!
Once completed, you will be provided with a tourist licence number, which must be used on any advertising platform for renting out your property - no matter whether it’s a letting agent, Air b n b, holiday rental websites etc, etc, etc. You are also required to display a plaque and notice in your property as evidence of your licence being obtained.
There are countless people on here who will give you advice and pointers, listen and take heed to what they advise
