I have recently bought 4 new black towels from Primark.  They weren't their cheapest ones but to say I'm disappointed is an understatement.

I have washed them 4 times now using bicarbonate of soda and white vinegar and they are still leaving fluff everywhere and all over me when I use them, and making a real mess.

Can anyone recommend a good place to buy towels in the La Zenia/Villamartin area that won't shed after the first wash?

Try Zara in the boulevard.

I wouldn’t buy towels from Zara. We have had to take 2 sets back. One had had several snags in the material and the other set looked lovely with tassels around the edge which started to fall off after one wash.

I bought some good quality towels from Mark's & Spencer Spain online recently.

Try Al Campo, they have a promotion on at the moment of summer items including towels. I have not bought dark coloured ones from there but have purchased pink / beige and no problem with fluff. They have been washed several times without any problems.

Hi

I confess - I'm a bloke - but is there something wrong with using washing powder?

Baffled.

We purchase all our towels and bedded from Yorkshire Linen, next to Mercadona, Lidl and Petsworld in La Zenia.

Highly recommend, as good quality and the staff are extremely helpful.

Try Carrefour. I bought 2 bath sheets in Navy for my husband years ago and they are as good as new. Marks and Spencer are also excellent. I have bath sheets and hand towels which I carried on the flight for one of the guest rooms. Superb quality

I also like Zara as they are very pretty! As a man, that wouldn’t interest you.

Primark is cheap for everything. Why not take your towels back and complain! I reckon they’ll replace them for you. Take photos of the fluff etc.,   Most stuff is good value for money.but intended to be disposable. Cheap and cheerful. Sometimes not a bad thing as everything I buy seems to last forever and occasionally it’s nice to have a change. I’ve ended up with cupboards full of bedding and towels. I did donate a lot during the floods but keep bringing more out with me!
