Can anybody recommend any good furniture shops near Villamartin where we can get lounge, dining and bedroom furniture?

Not exactly for furniture but you are lucky to have one of the best shopping centres near you in the Zenia Boulevard Shopping Centre. It's only a short drive from Villa Martin and it's open nearly every day of the year. You can get almost everything there and they have great eating places too. There is a great store there called Leroy Merlin which is similar to Homebase in the UK and has a good selection of garden furniture, (http://www.leroymerlin.es/)

Best to allow plenty of time in the Boulevard! :)

We have recently bought a house in the area and furnished the whole house from Ikea in Murcia. They will deliver and assemble for a small fee. We firstly looked through the English online website and picked out what we wanted, we then went to the store in England to makes sure it was good quality. After we were sure what we wanted we simply ordered it on the spanish web site and had it deliverd fortunatly my parents live in the area and were there to open the door to allow them access.

Garcias in Torrevieja are excellent   They are behind the big Carrefour.  

I will be needing beds and bedding when I move in Sept in la galan area of villamartin.  Can anyone give me some advise of a good store where to purchase these items please.

For beds there is an excellent shop near the La Zenia roundabout on the N332, go down past the taxi rank to the commercial centre that includes the Randy Leprachaun Pub.

For bedding at Zenia Boulevard you have Primark ( much better than in the U.K. ) for the inexpensive or the likes of Zara Home for the more expensive.

Hi all

Was wondering if anyone out there could recommend a quality mid priced furniture shop. Looking for dining table and decent patio furniture. I believe there’s nice shop in Los Alcazaras that’s not too pricey?? I’ve already looked at the stores in Punta Prima on the 332  but found them expensive. 

Any suggestions would be most welcome

For bedding I think Yorkshire Linen is still open in the centre next to the big Pet's World in La Zenia.  The bed shops further down the road in the La Zenia, along the road between Paddy's Point and Randy Leprechaun and Easy Ads (as suggested by John 56 above).  Obviously Conforama have things but heard so many complaints about their delivery delays I have been hesitant to use them.  

If you just want standard metal bed base frames you can pick them up very cheaply from the second hand shops and buy a new mattress.  Best place for that would be New2You in Mar Azul on the way into Torrevieja as they sell the second hand frames and new mattresses at reasonable prices.  One of their shops (there are 2 a couple of streets apart) also sells new bedding, curtains and kitchen bits and bobs too.

Try Hnos Garcia at Torrevieja, you can furnish the house there not bad prices and some quality furniture worth a look.
