I am sharing this to warn others of this company, D& M Car Hire at Villamartin as they couldn’t be bothered or have the courtesy to respond to my mail!

I am writing this email to express my horror and disappointment at your shoddy disgraceful airport transfer service!
Yesterday evening my daughter had booked your service to be collected at 18:00hrs and this time was confirmed in 2 emails. Check with Jane in your office and you will see this. She and her daughter and friends were ready for pick up at the front of their accommodation at 17:50 but you did not show. At 18:10 she called your mobile and you stated that pick up was not until 18:30 and you would not be there until that time! She was upset by your unfriendly attitude on the phone and felt you were quite rude. At 18:30 you still had not arrived, at 18:45 still no show for her booked and confirmed 18:00 pick up. She and her daughter were getting very stressed as they were worried they would miss their flight.  Again she called your mobile and was told by you that you were 5 mins away, which was a downright lie as you finally arrived at 18:56 a few mins short of 1 hour LATE! 
You had an attitude upon arrival and all of the passengers were upset. Not once did you or your office inform my daughter by phone that you were running late! Do you expect people to just stand at the roadside I definitely until you decide to show up?  It is common courtesy to ket your passengers know if you are running late, in your case very very very late!!!

To add insult to injury you arrived to collect 4 people in a beaten up, unroadworthy heap of junk, my daughter was horrified.  You proceeded to drive at 60km per hour all the way to Murcia in your dodgy vehicle that did not have full working aircon either.  At times you reduced your speed on the motorway to 40km per hour and the passengers feared for their safety and felt you were doing this as the unroadworthy piece of metal was not working as it should be.
I will be reporting all of this to the relevant authorities.
I recommended you to my daughter after I called to your office and was told by you that you only used trustworthy and road worthy vehicles in tip top condition and that all vehicles had aircon.  
Why did you collect my husband and I in a mini bus but my daughter and 3 others in a dodgy car with no aircon and barely enough room for their luggage? Explain please?? You stated that you have hundreds of cars for hire so why didn’t you use a decent one for this airport transfer?   My daughter used your service for her inbound transfer 12 days ago and was collected in an old vehicle with no working aircon also. What is going on with your company and old unreliable cars being used for airport transfers?  On the plus side the driver Jim was very pleasant and courteous.
I am appalled, disappointed and extremely concerned about this airport transfer by you and your company. Arriving 1 hour late in an unroadworthy vehicle is absolutely NOT ACCEPTABLE and to have an unfriendly attitude to boot.  My daughter and her family would have missed her flight due to your shoddy late pick up service only that her flight had been delayed. So stressful and totally unnecessary of you to be so unprofessional.

I or my friends or family will never use your shoddy, unacceptable service ever again and expect a full explanation for all of the above asap before I share this email on social media.

Hi Gerri, sorry to hear about your bad experience, and glad you shared it. It’s very straight forward really, if you are provided with a good service, irrespective of what it is, then share it and recommend it to others. But equally, as in your case, if the service was well below the expected standard, then name and shame them. That really is the only way some of these shoddy service providers might improve, but more importantly it stops others from potentially experiencing the same thing. There may be the odd instance where someone has an axe to grind, and just want to bad mouth someone, but most members can read between the lines and can recognise a genuine  and justified complaint. So, I will never use D&M car hire, thank you.

Well done Gerril17 for naming and shamming this company. I know of someone who hired a (let’s call it a car) from this company. My friend who hired it said it didn’t lock, no aircon as mandatory☹️ and had many other small faults but it was cheap to hire and did the job in the end. The moral of the story is ‘You only get what you pay for’

I agree entirely that your family has been treated shoddily and in an unacceptable fashion.

However, if I may say the following: any complaint of this kind is more likely to be acted upon if reduced to statement of fact without any emotional input. I realise this is difficult, but more impact is always obtained by simply listing the events, with relevant timings. Whilst you are wholly justified in being outraged, this does not have as much impact, especially with authorities, as baldly itemizing events, with an added statement of why this has been unacceptable.

Please remember, it was written in anger of the way they were treated, we would all write the same review. It’s good to know how they were treated. They could of contacted another firm to that them to the airport, if they cared

Yes absolutely, it was the absolute “couldn’t care less how you feel” attitude that was so disgraceful.

Who does this to their clients? Certainly not a caring, reliable company who care about their reputation🤔
