I wasn't referring to any specific parts of British history,  more the imagined notion of a great nation that could be again.

It never was and never will be.

Living in NI and being subjected day and daily to the green and orange can be hell.  Politics comes into absolutely everything and the police have no powers whatsoever... that’s my opinion anyway. Constantly, we have had money wasted over and over and over when it isn’t going to do any g...

...ood. We need as much money as we can get for our NHS, schools, welfare and many other vital issues. Remember Ray, we are still subject to the European courts until the end of the year.

Boris Johnston comes from a world where people respect their fellow man. Pretty much the same way that you and I live our lives. As I said before, the younger generation appear to do whatever pleases them as we saw on the beach in Bournemouth the other day.    Who was going to go amongst those sun worshipers and tell them to go home?  The only people I can think of would be The Guarda Civil!  Unfortunately, they weren’t available!
The world is upside down !

Boris respects his fellow man? Who is this fellow he respects?

The thing is they have no option. I would not put my faith in the Dems or 'sleepy Joe Biden' nor anything the Clintons have remotely been involved in. Who do you suggest could beat Trump?

Certainly not anti British - far from it, but no point in pretending the past is glorious and in need of returning to. It's a dark, bloody and very often mis-represented in the media and in the history books.

However, no matter what it was, it aint coming back and the notion of a United Kingdom is very much just that - a notion. The country is very much divided and Brexit will certainly see both a united Ireland and an Independent Scotland.

Not that I think any of that is a bad thing either.

The entire year has been a disaster, but most of the societal issues have been coming due to the divisive nature of the Brexit campaign.  I can't see how it can be repaired.  As for the virus, it will pass and life will go on - indeed Scotland and Ireland have reported 0 deaths on many ...

...occasions the past few weeks. England still has much to do in that respect.

But with regards to Britain... It is done I'm afraid. Whatever was in the past that folk hark back  to is never returning.

yes Wilbur...the socialist indigenous replacement experiment is right on plan...boosted by recent events...i can see exodus of Brits heading to Spain in the future...my friends in London had to disguise their suitcases in bin liners to go holiday so not broadcasting the fact...they are moving out soon...
