Hi, we are looking to buy a holiday home for ourselves and 8 year old daughter. We want her to meet other children when we are out there (May half term, August and possibly Oct & Xmas + long weekends during the year), and it would be nice for us to meet people time and again too. Wanting a secure complex with (ideally) multiple pools, with all amenities within walking distance. Obviously we are also looking into the future for when we are older and need to ensure that everything is accessible. Please can you tell me your experiences, and advise whether Villa Martin is the ideal location. Can you also advise if the beaches & supermarkets are accessible without a car. Many thanks

Hi

Whilst we don’t have kids my husband and I have an apartment in villa Martin near Morgan’s pub. Neither of us drive and I have to say it is a problem. Buses are reliable to the timetable but last bus in winter from boulevard is at 6.30pm and they don’t operate at weekend so getting around can be a pain especially with a child. There is a supermarket in the plaza and a mercadona near la Fuentes complex but carrying water, groceries etc is a nightmare in heat. Having said that it’s the only downside-we love the area and las Filipinas centre have just started a kids cinema night-have a look on villamartin sales and wants Facebook page.good luck in your search and pm me if you have any other questions

Deirdre

Hi whilst looking ahead bear in mind things change considerably over the years. I would say beach would need car from Villamartín at present. We live in a village in UK that did have public transport when we bought 10 years ago but that has changed and has none in evenings now. But children always make friends around pool until they bec teenagers then they just look at each other😃

Hi I would say look.further down around playa flamenca much more accessible. Villamartin you definitely need a car. We have stayed in both and we can walk to loads of places when we stay in playa flamenca.

Hi,

I bought a place in villamartin last year through 'Costa Blanca homes in Spain, always in the Sun'

The directors name is Tony and the experience was fantastic. Him and his colleagues are so trustworthy and he will bend over backwards to find you an nice home in the area you are comfortable with.

He got me a discounted deal with a hotel in Torrevieja, picked me up from the airport, drove me around areas for a couple of days to get me familiarised and showed me great properties in La Zenia, Playa Flameca, Punte Prima and Villamartin that met my criteria. He did all the negotiating for me and got money knocked off the asking price. He set up the solicitor (one of the best in Murcia and very thorough) who sorted out my NIE and bank account. The process was very easy. He is now a good friend and we meet for a drink when i am over.

Tony's company is based in Playa Flamenca and his contact details are +34 642 07 95 84 or you can find the details on google ('Costa Blanca homes in Spain, always in the Sun'), and you will find great reviews from other buyers.

He has helped me out with tradesmen as i am doing some minor renovation works, so after sales is brilliant, and he will help you with anything

I would recommend Tony if you haven't already bought, and good luck with the search

Message me if you need any further details

Regards

Shane

I agree Tony and Michael are great. We spent a few days with them. Although they couldn't get us what we wanted we would still highly recommend them.
