Hi all. We have completed on our property in Villamartin today and would like to know if you can drink water from tap or do we need to buy bottled water.

Many thanks.

Hi susan........me again,

We use tap water for tea and coffee and bottled for cold drinks. Some people do drink the tap water, but i personally dont. Anyway bottled water is peanuts to buy really.

Hi Ray

Thank you for your reply. Sorry if it seemed a funny question but I wanted to make sure before we go later this month. Have always bought bottled water on holidays as advised by reps etc but now having our own place thought I would check with people that actually live there.

Regards Susan

Yes water is completely safe to drink, I bought a pack of 500ml water from Lidle and use them to put in the fridge with tap water for cold drinks and walks etc. this is what a food magazine recommends saying it is better than bottled water as they are not allowed to put additives in bottled water but the water companies do.

Thank you for your reply. That's great news because you always run out of bottled water, now I know we can just turn on the tap.

Kind regards Susan

Tap water is fine, we use it for tea and cooking but don't drink it because we don't like the taste - gots lots of chemicals in it but it is safe.  I sometimes drink it if am making a fruit squash.  We buy the 5 litre bottles of water from Aldi or the 8 litres from Lidl - very cheap.

Thanks for that Yellow, will give it a go then but as you say bottled is very cheap anyway.

Cheers Susan
