hi all,i have not been to spain since last year,and now the itv has run out,does anyone know the law as when as i come over i shall drive the car straight to the itv station,just wondered how the police will react if stopped...i have the green sticker at the moment

It's illegal to drive without an ITV, even if you're going for a test. If you want to chance it, make an appointment for the test and show that if stopped. If the Guardia officer is in a good mood he might let you off.

Get an online appointment from your nearest ITV, print it out and keep it on your way to pass inspection. Rarely anyone is bothered.

It may help you with anything to do with driving in Spain if you have a look at the N332 website.   It is run in collaboration with officers of the Guardia Civil for English speaking people and has an English version of the Spanish equivalent of the Highway Code on there.
