Police volunteer

I've heard you can do voluntary work with the Police here in Spain. Does anyone know if this is the case?

My own experiences after living now for 59 years in Spain: during the Franco times there existed civil armed voluntary corps comparable to a US Deputy Sheriff called "Somaten Armado" linked to the Guardis Civil and dreded as they did not wear any ID. Nowadays there is nothing similar.

If your location is correct, this is the Torrevieja office of Civil Protection. You could call in or phone ( if your spanish is good enough) and ask about volunteering .
