Hi everyone, I have a problem with people jumping my gates and taking things (plants and pots so far). Out of my garden. I think it happens at night. Feel quite threatened. I know they are not expensive but it is annoying.
I thought maybe I should have higher gates installed but then they can jump over the wall from next door. My gates are always locked. I have noticed that several people around have altered the height of their gates.
Does anyone have any suggestions.

you could also look in to cctv cameras or maybe just some cctv stickers on the gate it might help as a deterrent or maybe fit some kind of garden trellis to the gate and along the wall

I did think of that but I thought the trellis etc they could break it of. Cameras I don't think will work as I am situated to close to the pavement. But I will look into it. Thank you for your advice.

Are you allowed to heighten your garden wall, I would speak to the President of your committee , (if you are on an Urb), failing that enquire at your local councillors office, and heighten your gate. Hope this stupidity soon stops for you.
