It usually closes for the winter and opens up usually around Easter time.

That's interesting! I have been here at various times of the year including this very time last year. It was as open as an open place could be. Even through China's 'gift to the world;' when it was legally allowed to do so, of course.

I haven't actually ever known it close in my own experience in the last 7 years. It does seem very odd that I have always missed the close-downs.

It seemed to be a big mystery to The Typsy Toad just behind them also.

However, I hear what you say and thank you for replying.

Yes I’ve been coming over for the last five years and never found it closed in the off season. As far as I had heard it was up for sale by the owners well over 18months ago, they previously had it open but must have decided to close. There had been rumours that there was an issue between the owner and his brother who had been living above it. It’s definitely going to be a bit of an eyesore come the summer season if it remains closed as the Junction next door is a bit of a state. El Galan is not short of bars though, seems to have really come up in the last few years.

I’ve been told they have to pay community fees for the swimming pool round the back. They have not used it and the fees go back 11 years. So selling up.
