Hello,

I have been looking at various properties and places around costa Blanca for a while now and quite like the look of a Penthouse in La Zenia Beach 11, would like to hear from anyone who lives or holiday there, nearest bus stop, distance to plaza etc, any encouraging comments would be useful, its for full time use and not a holiday home , newly retired but fit as a butchers dog, lol. thanks.

Bricon.

Hi

I can't find La Zenia Beach 11 or 2 or II on Google maps? Do you have the name of the road?

Cheers

Steve

It looks to me like it is in the process of getting built:

Zenia Beach II Zenia Beach II - Apartments in La Zenia (Orihuela Costa) - Medvilla Spanje (medvillaspain.co.uk)

Zooming in on that map suggests to me it's more in between Playa Flamenca and Los Dolses and the description (whereby it says it sits between the Boulevard and the Golf Course would seem to support that).

While I live near there, I never really pay any attention to the names of the various blocks.

Ok, given I've located the listing on Idealista and from looking at the photos (in terms of what can be seen from the windows), am fairly sure it is the next block down from the one pinpointed by Flyingduck81.

This is because the windows have a view overlooking the 2nd picture in the 2 attached files.

So, I'm about 200 yards from that (how bad is that not to know the names of urbanisations albeit quite often they're not made obvious).

So you have a Repsol garage just up the road and a Dialprix (Supermarket) and a Chinese Supermarket in or around the wider Los Dolses commercial centre as well as a garden centre and a number of bars/restaurants both in Los Dolses and slightly further up in the Rioja centre. Heading the other way you have various bars and restaurants just over the AP7 (there is a pedestrian bridge over it) so plenty within reasonable walking distance.

Area wise, I'd say its perfectly fine - I suspect there is more building to come on the areas of wasteland around there so that may be a consideration.

I manage without a car but the main road is on the bus route but if you want to do some exploring you're likely to need a car (even if not for simply day to day living).

If you're feeling brave, you can always use the Hopp / Hoppy scooters for short commutes around the area. (I have used them to go from roughly where that property is to central Torrevieja in about 25 minutes (costs about 9 Euros on the scooter) if I can't be bothered to try and get the (inconsistent) public transport.

Hi Bricon

Your screenshots clearly say "villamartin - las filipinas" - which is nowhere near La Zenia!

I too had previously come to the conclusion that it was near Repsol garaje and Dialprix but now I'm confused.

You really need to find out definitively where it is, and come and eyeball the area!

Cheers

Steve

Well thats good news that it's not in the Middle of some scrub land , by the sounds of it there have been several enquires about it and I am stuck in Scotland with a house to sell so that will be another one slipping through my fingers, I'd be better selling up and renting over there so I'm ready to grab something when it comes up, thanks for all replies.

Hi Bricon

If it is located near the garage and Dial Prix, then it is a pretty good location, we are not far from there and the walk to the Boulevard and beach is all flat, it is also not far from the canal, which is a great walk to Villamartín and beyond, also great for cycling.  We have had our property for 6 years and absolutely love it there 👍

Hello you will have to be fit to catch a bus in La Zenia  the nearest is the Boulevard or the best would be to buy a scooter. Enjoy
