Estufa is Spanish for stove/heater. They can be purchased from many Repsol or Cepsa shops, Carrefour, Leroy Merlin, Aki and some ferreterias (hardware stores).

Remeber one of the byproducts of bottled gas is water - so portable gas will relase quite a bit of moisture into the house which in turn can make it feel less warm soon afterwards and also promote damp etc. This is the case everywhere not just Spain.

I don’t have much of a damp problem at all and have lived here for nearly 15 years. I have learned to keep furniture a few inches off outside walls.

We had central heating put in well worth the spend for long term living. Just feels like a home when it drops to 7 and rains.
