Most larger Spanish towns have at least one specialist dealing with disabled requirements, so at would be my first suggestion. There is a wheelchair manufacturer in Benidorm, my mother’s chair was supplied by them to her Residencia. Look up Sillas de Ruedas, Chairs of Wheels, it may return something. Any of these specialists are more likely to be able to help you or point you to someone who can.

Hi , thanks for replying again , I have tried Prosillas and am very apprehensive about the company , they seem too good to be true , two weeks using the chair , full refund if not happy with free return but they have no home page and I cannot get an address from them . They asked me what part of England Orihuela was in and then said they were in Barcelona . I've asked on various forums if anyone has done business with them but no replies . I really do appreciate you are trying to help and I will contact the other company , thanks again . R

We had a hoist fitted to our Nissan X-trail for my husband’s heavy electric wheelchair.

We used Adapta Auto, Mercia; easy to get to from Torrevieja and highly recommended.
