I love Chinese food but, just had the worst ever in my life from Nan Kin in Villamartin. This is only an opinion but would advise to stay away. Everything, bar the salt and pepper ribs, which were not even salt and pepper but were tender, was appalling. How they can still be in business with all the fabulous places in this area is amazing. Sorry to dis a business but, more sorry if I not let people know.

Can't possibly be as bad as the NaN Kin in Quesada ...as they always refill all the wine bottles with everyone's left overs ?, went there a few weeks ago and found a very large fly in the wine bottle we were given ....as a new bottle !!! Urgh !!! Really put me off everything else ...if that's the wine what happens to left over food ? They don't even hide the refill the bottles with dregs in front of customers !

This was a take away but, quite frankly it was a throw away when we got home with it.

Totally understand your frustrations, having said that I have been eating in & out at Nan King for over 2 years & not had a bad meal yet. Again I know this is your opinion which you are entitled too but everyone is different & I'm sure we all could offer a bad meal from somewhere when others have enjoyed the same place.

Thanks for sharing.

Best thing to do with places like this is to vote with your feet.

We went to Nan Kin Vilamartin a couple of years ago and was really disappointed by the food. We almost gave it a second chance on Friday, but tried Restaurante Bienvenido(Funny name for a Chinese)  by La Zenia roundabout because of its good reviews. After reading your post I’m glad we did, as the food was very good, great value for money and service excellent, one I am happy to recommend.

I’ve not eaten in Nan King in Villamartin for about a year, but whenever I have the food has been good. The portions are far too large and the prices ridiculously low, but you don’t find many people complaining about that!

My criticism of the restaurant would be about the atmosphere and the service. For me it falls in the category of a “filling station”, where you go in, eat far too much then leave, as opposed to a restaurant with atmosphere and attentive service, where you enjoy the ambiance as well as the food.

I find that the staff are somewhat abrupt and aloof, but the lady who appears to be the owner does occasionally smile - if you’re lucky.

Pete.
