Hi

Can anybody give me an update on what the procedures are for seeing the

doctor regarding a new medical issue

I assume it's similar in all centres. At ours, I just explain the problem to the receptionist. The receptionist then talks to the doctor, and either tells us to wait for the doctor or to come back at a particular time.

We haven't abused the system by asking to see the doctor or nurse about minor problems that should sort themselves out. I find it easier to visit rather than telephone.

When we went by there last week on the way to the market there were people coming and going from the centre.

I have had an appointment come through for an ultrasound at Torrevieja hospital which quite rightly was postponed because the staff were busy saving lives, so it certainly looks like the Spanish health service is on top of things.
