Does anyone know if there is a way to get the results of a blood test online?

Don't want to bother the Doctor unnecessarily if this information can be obtained without making appointment, also does anyone have any idea how long it takes to get the results?

My wife had blood test week ago, and we are in limbo at moment, the medical Centre at Cabo Roig have our mobile number which we assume they will use if there is a problem, but not having had a blood test before we are not taking anything for granted.

Results are available in a couple of days. The doctor won't look at them until requested to do so. Every reading outside the preferred range is marked.

At our surgery I usually pop in and see the nurse. He prints the report for me and tells me if there's anything untoward. I also keep a table of all blood test results so I can see if one of the readings is trending too high or low. If I feel I need to see the doctor, only then do I make an appointment with her.

"The doctor won't look at them until requested to do so"

That may be a local thing.

One thing I do miss from living in France before moving to Spain is the convenience of blood tests which we could elect to have done at our home.

We would phone the nurse at the local practice after 6pm and someone would be at our home at 8:30 in the morning to take the blood then around 3 or 4 the same afternoon the results would arrive via email. Our doctor would automatically review them and his secretary would call us in if required.

Thanks for the info, I'm surprised that it only takes few days, as there were literally dozens and dozens queuing for a blood test that day, and my friend says it has been like that for at least 2 weeks, they must have hundreds of tests to process.

I used to go to the clinic at Cabo Roig, 8.00am for INR check, the Sintrom Clinic they call it.

I went back about 4pm in the afternoon for the result and a print out telling me if my medication needs changing.
