Do you have to register an interest with local health care centre to receive the Covid vacine?

Hi Mary,
It depends on your circumstances - if you're retired with an S1 that enabled you to get a SIP card at your local health centre, then you just need to make sure that your contact details are up to date, including a Spanish phone number - they'll text or call with an appointment when appropriate for your age group.
However, if you're younger with private health care, then yes, you need to register at your local health centre. You need to take with you, your residency certificate or TIE, Padron, proof of PHI cover and provide a Spanish phone number. Some health centres are insisting on an EHIC, so if you have one that's valid, take that too, although it's not required according to Generalitat Valenciana's health ministry.

Hi Mary,
I registered at Cabo Roig clinic on 18 March. I am under UK state pension age and have private healthcare here. All I used to register was my TIE, passport and my spanish telephone number. I had other documents with me, but wasn't asked for them.
I got a text on Thursday, and went for my vaccine yesterday morning. I also have the date time and place for my 2nd dose.
