Hi All, Happy New Year.

With regard to healthcare I am currently with Salus. Incorporated within the plan is the use of a Wellman Medical which I am keen to take advantage of. To organise this I have to go to a doctors that is listed by Salus, my nearest one being in San Miguel de Salinas.
Has anyone had this medical and what was the experience. In addition, has anyone used the doctors at San Miguel de Salinas

Thanks in advance

Shane

Hi

Which cover do you have with Salus?

We are also with them, have been trying to organise general health check with Quiron but not succeeded yet!

Hi we got Alfonso  at gran alacant to arrange ours with our premium policy. But to be honest it was a waste of time, myself and my husband attended various appointments, gave samples etc with no outcome! We were told you could get them three months after taking the policy out which we did, the cardiologist wanted the two of us to go for further tests as he wasn't happy with our ecg results. My husband was refused due to high blood pressure declared, I was refused due to not having the policy for six months even although we paid a year up front. I complained only to be told it's in your policy documents, very distressing as my father died of a heart attack. Good luck

I've since found out the policy is not worth the money .we required this for our residency and took the policy where you are entitled to a medical checkup (full mot) .  Was refused a test that the cardiologist requested after a dodgy e.c.g due to the fact not a policyholder for 6 months even although paid a year up front! Have just discovered today that my well woman check up, where a polyp was discovered and sent for a biopsy I now have to pay 200 euros for the test. At no point did the hospital advise that this wasn't covered! To be honest you would think private medical care would cover this but received an email today stating not guaranteed under insurance policy they have refused payment. I just want other people to be aware that not everything is covered. I've emailed Alfonso asking why and await his reply.

Just been informed by Alfonso he has been in contact with the claims department, you have to have held the policy for 8 months before they will pay for a biopsy, the hospital don't need to advise you if you are covered by your insurance! In future I'm to contact him to see if I'm covered first!! My 8 months will be 15 feb
