Making a will via a notary
Hi,
Myself and my wife have a holiday home in Villamartin and have been meaning to make a Spanish will for ages. So before coming over this week I found the old Jim’s Guide for making a will and used the Notary in Almoradi (about 25 min drive from Villamartin). Notaria Jose Carlos Perez Juan, Avda Principe de Espana 2.
A really smooth process, emailed a few weeks ago, filled out a form and then attended the office yesterday to prove identify and get the will drafted / printed (took about 45mins). Everyone was really helpful and spoke good English.
Total cost was 57 euros each so much cheaper than going via a lawyer.
…and some nicest places for lunch in Almoradi so worth the short drive though maybe more local Notarys are just as good.
just thought I would share our experience in case it helps anyone.
