Motorhome in storage

If insurance works the same for campers as cars then it will need to insured in the Uk. For storage it shouldnt be a problem if you're paying for storage then i would assume that you can store anything, might be worth getting some trustworthy to regularly check on it though or drive it back for you

Uk insurance company do not motorhome that are left in Europe that are attended.

The are cars park outside houses with uk plates where the owners only drive it when down here on holiday.

Can you not tell them its not in Europe? Or change it to spanish plates, im only 40mins away i can go to el trafico for you. If you want instead of leaving it unattended i can move it for them, that way you will have an address for them to insure it. 

No to Spanish plates, if unattended in Europe owners in the uk then it’s uninsured.

Most Spanish insurers to not cover vehicles not registered in Spain. Try to find a locked storage where nobody has access except yourself and better don't tell anyone.

There is Spanish insurance company that do insure uk registered vehicle and all needs is storage so he can fly down to drive it.

Insuring a car on non Spanish plates can be done alright but I’ve never tried to see if campers can be insured

Put the van in your sons name who lives in uk get him a NIE put the van in storage then Spanish insurance company will insure him, he can fly down and use it. Which is legal.

I can also use it as a Spanish resident with a Spanish driving license with his permission in writing.
