Moving out mid Sept-early Oct. We will rent at first until the right house comes along. Seen a few nice ones in El Galan on-line and would like some advice on the area. We never got the chance to have a real look around when we visited last weekend. We were initially looking in Quesada, but we can get a lot more house here than there. Thanks in advance.

I'm in El Galan. Great area depending where you buy. Lots of bars and restaurants 5 mins walk away. All the bars in the EG area have good happy hours. La Fuente a nice walk with a halfway stop at the Royal Oak. The plaza, slightly longer walk with a stop at Wolfies or Morgans.

Hi. Thanks for your advice. Is there anywhere there we should avoid looking at. This is going to be a permanent move, so we need to get the area right. X

All areas are quite developed. The only area I would avoid is Calle Malaga only because it's a bit of a trek to the bars. There are 1 or 2 developments that don't look that lived in so they don't have strong communities.

Do you have any idea of broadband speeds, as husband will be working from home. X

Mine is a holiday home and I have pay as you go Internet.  I pay no monthly fees and only pay for each day I am there. Speeds not great 4mb fast enough to stream movies and more than fast enough to WFH.

If you're living out there you can get decent speeds 20Mg  upwards.  Similar mthly costs to the UK
