Hi everyone just joined forum, so a big hello to you all!

We're a couple looking to retire to Costa Blanca in a couple of year so looking for lots of info on which area is best to settle in, and all the things we will need to sort out before the move.

Looking forward getting to know you all. Cheers Dave

Welcome aboard. We purchased an apartment this January in Villamartin to use in the winter months. Back in the UK now and missing Spain.

Hey Dave,

We have sold our house and are nearing completion in the next few weeks.

We are renting in the Uk over the summer months as we knew it would be difficult to rent in Spain during holiday season but hoping to arrive there in September.

We know Quesada, La Finca, Las Ramblas and have spent a few nights in Villamartin but we hear the north is very beautiful so think we will rent there first before we buy.

Feeling very nervous and apprehensive now but hope it will be the best thing we have ever done.

Maggie and Malcolm

Hi..We are due to complete this week on a house in Playa Flamenca. We have been out here since last August. We rented an apartment in Torrevieja for about5 months until we found exactly what we where looking for.My only advice is to take your time.We did'nt have transport so we got to know the bus timetables and every couple of days we just got on a bus and went to look at different areas.Eg,Villa Martin,Los Altos,La Torettes etc etc.The estate agents will take you to all the places you wish to go but we wanted to spend time in them under no pressure.Looking at things such as how far to beaches, shops bars and so on.We found that Playa Flamenca ticks every box.Great beaches within 10 mins walk,La Zenia Boulevard 5 Mins away.Great Restaurants and bars.So once again, try to get to know the areas and don't be led by the estate agents..Good luck, you will find the right place...Oh forgot to add...We love it out here, brave decision but one we don't regret...

We too hope to buy and spend a lot of time there.

We have been coming over for 4yrs and have tried villamartin, los dolces, zenimar and different parts of playa flamenca which we like best.

Hi Dave, we moved here exactly 2 years ago, we rented a house Lomas De Cabo Roig, have just bought a house in Los Dolces which we are due to complete next week. We have met some great people, some of who have become close friends. We have loved & soaked up every minute of the lifestyle 😎☀️👙💃🏻🏊🍷.  It's a big decision, but one I'm sure you will not regret. 😀
