Just saying hello and introducing ourselves ! Scott and Pauline from Falkirk , Scotland here !

We are In the process of purchasing our first property in Villamartin , on the Panorama Golf urb.
Purchase is due to go through in June, both excited, but conscious that there may be delay getting to stay / enjoy our new property until better times come around !

In the meantime saying hello as we find our way round this fantastic forum !

Hello Scott and Pauline, hope you enjoy your future time in Spain. We purchased property in Villamartin in January this year but because of work commitments we only managed to stay a few nights in the apartment but found the area and the people really friendly and so helpful plus this forum is awash with some very useful information. Jim’s guide is top notch and is worth a read. We are back home now in Tillicoultry awaiting the green light to fly back but it could be a long wait. Take care. Jimmy

Welcome to the forum, I purchased a holiday home in Villamartin in Jan 19. I found this forum very helpful when I was furnishing my house last year and have picked up loads of tips since.

I was due to fly our from Edinburgh on Wednesday bit like many others the flights were cancelled.

I stay in Dunfermline and work in Larbert. If you want to meet up in the UK once the lock down is over please let me know by sending me a personal message.

We own a property in villa martin and also come from

Larbert currently staying inn carrickfergus due to work commitments

We should have been out at our property in Spain at present but due

To the current situation we are unable to go

I am thinking of doing a reverse relocation! Many years ago lived in West coast ,Glasgow & later Edinburgh.Would like to buy a property in the Borders,maybe Peebles or Hawick but can't find a forum in Scotland like we have here where I can get info.directly from residents.Any Scots who can point me in the right direction would be appreciated.Have lived in Spain for a long time so a big adventure for me.My granddaughter lives in Inverness & wants me to come there but I think it is further north than I want.

Hi Sorry I don’t know a forum I could point you towards but Inverness is a lovely place, used to want to move there. I’m not familiar with Peebles or Hawick but I love the Coldingham area between Dunbar and Eyemouth. I love the coast there especially the little village of St Abbs. Have you tried searching both towns on Facebook to see if there are any local blether pages?

Really appreciate your reply,Linda.Will certainly look at these places.Tried Facebook but nothing like we have here for info.so far.Even may have to visit a few bars in Benidorm as it is the only place around me where there are lots of Brits.!
