dont think so Les...they are doing the upper section north of Alicante but the dreaded Villamartin section still will have the 2 ripoff tolls...just come off at Los Montesinos to San Mig and go the back road...its nice and scenic also...i left Scotland 43 years ago but still have to talk slowly to sasenachs....but many thanks to those nice English people for the free prescriptions / college fees / tolls you subsidise...and good luck in the Rugby in Sept...i need to go to Zocco market to get my shirt...and an England one for wifey...

Hi GranadaGorden,

You say '  I've found it took a long time to understand their culture and to be accepted, but it was really worth the effort ! -

Could you explain what there is to understand about their 'culture and being accepted'.

I have just purchased a property in Benijofar and whilst it is in a small area with only 12 villas, I have yet to meet anyone as I have not completed yet.  My intention was to try and be accepted by the Spanish as I am in their country and I have been learning Spanish for two years prior to my purchase. I can get by with it but when they come back at me with fluent Spanish I have to tell them to go slowly.  What exactly is there to understand please?  This would be very helpful.

Thanks

Christine

Hello Pete just to let you know the toll roads will be free either January or February

Les

Hi. We are driving over to Javea in September from Santander. Can you tell me please how the tolls are paid for on some of the main roads, I think we are coming down the A7. Keep safe and well. Tim.
