Hello

Just bought a property on Las Violetas in Villamartin. Although weve been to Villamartin before approx 10 years ago on a property buying trip with a company called Parador Properties,Do anyone remember this company? (we ended up buying on a golf resort in Murcia at the time).

Villamartin even 10 years later is still as beauitiful as it was then with the unique plaza and of coarse the golf and now the recently added La Zenia Boulavard.

Mucia is lovely but only comes alive during June,July and August ,as whereVillamartin  seems to have a buzz all year round.

The property we have bought will  hopefully be rented with a key holder when we eventualy sign and then furnish.

Could anyone point us in the right direction with anything,i.e.where to buy furniture, lighting, tradesmen,a man with a van,etc as we are new to this area.

Dave

I bought a lot of my furniture in JYSK Punta Prima. They are very reasonable priced and very reliable.  It is located at the roundabout off the N332 across from the hotel.  I also visited Ikea in Murcia for my fitted kitchen although I have had it designed in the UK due to some language difficulties between myself and designer/salesman in the Murcia store.  Coaches run regularly from Orihuela Costa to Ikea (Davids Coaches which can be located online). There is also Leroy Merlin in La Zenia Boulevard which is a large store not unlike B & Q in the UK for DIY goods.  Conforama in La Zenia boulevard is where I bought my setees.  They are a big furniture store.  Media Markt. in La Zenia Boulevard where I bought electrical goods and is similar to Curry's in the U.K.

We have used Paul Gardener for a number of jobs around our property, he is reliable, cleans up after doing job.Very reasonable rates, we live just down the road from Villamartin in Montegolf. Can't fault the quality of his work, we are getting him in to paint our balcony very soon.

His number is 672854223

For lighting, can't beat Decoquality in La Zenia, they have some simply stunning lighting.

Hi All,

I am new to the forum and wondered if you could help as I am moving to Spain next week (Alicante Region) and i will be looking for developers that went bust in the last 16 years. You may or may not know but buyers that lost their money to Spanish developers can now claim their money back from the developers bank. If anyone can point me in the direction of developments that didn't get finished i would really appreciate it. The idea is to ask the developer to give me the contact details of buyers that lost out so that i may contact them.

I do work for a company and yes i will be earning out of this once a claim has paid out but can you imagine how many people it could help after losing their money years ago? We offer No Win No Fee.

Any ideas would be a massive help.

thanks

Dan.DLD

Hi Dave my name is Rainah, my partner and I live in Playa flamanca not far from villa Martin.  We moved here in May this year.  I lived out here over 25 years ago. As regards furniture etc there is a place called New for you it sells everything new and secondhand but fab modern stuff. It's in Mar Azul just 5 mins from me. As regards tradesman depending on what you want doing my partner Sam is pretty good. So anything else I can help with just let me know.

Rainah
