Max budget of 100k, would that include taxes? If you bought for 100k you'd need to pay about 113k for that property. If your budget includes tax you'd be looking more at 85 to 87 k which would take you up to your budget.

If cost is the main part, look on something like Think Spain and put the maximum price at 100k and see what is available. Lots of apartments in many different locations for you to choose from and you can put a big area like Costa Blanca in the search and pick how many bedrooms required etc.

Can you move to Spain? Do you have an EU passport, or a UK one?

Hi

Plenty of  properties  on  market  but  prices  have  risen over  last  2 years  or  so, that  includes  rental  prices, any  good  Properties  tend to  be snapped up  fairly  fast,

As  has been  mentioned  in previous  post,  allow about  14%  on top  of  purchase  price  to  cover  Taxes and Solicitors  fees,

Try to avoid  buying  online,  as  you won't  see  untidy  house round the corner  or hear  barking Dog,

Spend  some time  over here, yes  as you say  Rent before you  Buy.

Different  areas appeals  to different  Folks.

Villamartin  is a very  large area and a lot of hills in the area, A  car  is essential  as Bus  service  not  great in  some  areas, Standing  with shopping  in  extreme  heat not a pleasant  experience, 😑

When you  find a property  to your  requirements, speak  with  President  of Community,  meet  permanent Resident  of complex,  return  in  evening  and check  area out, Check  opening  times of  Communal pool,  and  Parking,  designated  or otherwise,

Buy  with  your  head not your heart  as  mistakes  can cost Thousands

Best of  luck 👍

As you have a sister already living in Villamartin surely, as she knows you and your likes and dislikes better than anyone on here, she would be the best person to ask?
Most of Villamartin is devoid of public transport so unless your sister is happy to run you about shopping, to restaurants, bars, the coast etc I would suggest somewhere on a bus route. Research bus routes from Torrevieja.
Come for a holiday and get your sister to drive you around the bus routes.

Have a look at the bus service in Orihuela Costa
