I think you would be extremely lucky to find that type of employment if you can't speak Spanish. You would need to be fully legal with an NIE, full healthcare and a TIE or residency card before you would be considered for employment.
Do you have all that legal paperwork?

Hi Faye,
The unemployment rate in Spain, prior to Covid-19, was around 14.5%, compared to the UK at around 3%. Covid-19 has seen Spain's employment rate deteriorate even further. It would have been very difficult for you to gain similar employment here without speaking Spanish; in the current climate, I would think it impossible.
Sorry not to be more positive, but Covid-19 has made an already difficult employment market in Spain even worse. Even the 'off the books' bar work is greatly reduced and, in your situation, you would need a job with a contract in order to make social security contributions to qualify for state healthcare.
Kind regards,
Kim

Hi Faye
Yes, I live permanently in Spain. I don't work here, but I am not pension age, so I have to pay for private health insurance.
Kind regards,

Hi Kim
ah that’s lovely how long have you been there? I would only need part time work Paying for health care wouldn’t be such a problem as if/when we move here we wouldn’t have a mortgage
Are regular bills cheap? And do you have like council tax?

Hi Faye
I think you should start doing some extensive research on what is required for Spain, there is a section on this forum called Jim’s Guides which explain everything you need to know - have a search and once you find it there are all sorts of links to different topics

Hi Faye,
I've lived permanently in Spain for 4 years.
Most bills are a lot cheaper: Council Tax (called "IBI" in Spain and collected in this region by SUMA) is significantly cheaper - our Council Tax bill in the UK was almost £3,000 (for a 4-bed detached house), whereas here it's only Eu 365 (for a 3-bed detached house with private pool), but we don't live on a 'community' so there are no additional costs, such as community fees to maintain communal areas.
However, electricity is more expensive than the UK and there is no mains gas outside of large cities, such as Madrid. Whilst bottled gas is cheaper, because the cost of some types is regulated by the Spanish government, it isn't always convenient. Some newer urbanisations have "deposit" gas, where it's stored in larger quantities and piped to individual properties, but I would expect the cost to be dearer than bottled gas.
As others have said, have a read of Jim's guides, which tell you all about living in Spain - and how to deal with Spanish bureaucracy!
Jim's guides - your complete guide to Spain
You don't say when you're planning to move to Spain, but ideally you would do so this year and get your residency before 31 December 2020, in order to take advantage of the lower income requirements pre-Brexit. From 1 January 2021, the amount of money (monthly income and savings) you will need, in order to prove to the Spanish authorities that you will not be a burden on the state, is likely to be much higher.
Have a read of Jim's guides and come back to us if you have any queries.
Kind regards,
Kim
